Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid invites Saudi crown prince to UN Water Conference

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, has written to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to invite him to this year’s UN Water Conference in Abu Dhabi.

Letter handed over in Riyadh

The invitation was delivered during a meeting in Riyadh, where Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Waleed Al Khereiji, received the letter from Matar Al Dhaheri, the UAE ambassador to the kingdom, state news agency Wam reported on Friday.

Conference co-hosted by UAE and Senegal

The UN Water Conference is scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi from 8 to 10 December and will be co-hosted by the UAE and Senegal.

Earlier invitation to King Salman

In August, The National reported that President Sheikh Mohamed had written to Saudi Arabia’s King Salman with an official invitation to the same conference.
