About Akhbar Abu Dhabi

Akhbar Abu Dhabi is an independent news website covering Abu Dhabi. We report government announcements, public services, municipal and transport news, the economy, community events and sport in the emirate. The site launched in 2026 and publishes mainly in Arabic; this English edition brings readers the day’s main Abu Dhabi news in English.

We are not a government body and we are not affiliated with any government entity. Nothing on this site is an official notice: we report what the authorities announce in plain language.

How our news is produced

Each story begins with a public source: an official statement, a published circular, a service announcement or a report by an established news outlet. Our newsroom selects the stories that matter to readers in Abu Dhabi, then rewrites and summarizes them with automated tools under editorial standards that we set and apply.

When a story announces something that changes what residents need to do, such as a fee, a deadline, a closure or a new service, we add a short box listing what changes, from when, who is affected and where to apply.

What we leave out

We do not publish rumor, unsourced claims or anything we cannot trace to a public source.

Corrections

When a story is wrong, we correct it. Material errors are fixed in the text and marked as corrected. If the original source withdraws an announcement, we update or remove our story. To report an error, write to the newsroom through our contact page.

Independence

We do not sell placement in our news coverage, and no organization can pay to have its announcement given more prominence or kinder wording.

The Arabic and English editions

The Arabic edition at the root of the site carries our full news coverage. The English edition is shorter and is written for English-speaking readers in Abu Dhabi. It is not a translation of the Arabic edition, so the two editions do not always carry the same stories.
