Oracle unveils agentic AI applications to handle complex tasks across industries

Oracle has introduced a new set of agentic AI applications designed to manage complex tasks across industries, including supply chains, shipping, and restaurants. The applications are part of Oracle Fusion Claw, a governed agentic execution platform, announced on Monday at the Oracle AI World event in Las Vegas.

Oracle Unveils Agentic AI Applications for Complex Tasks

Speaking at the event, Oracle co-chief executive Mike Sicilia said that AI has moved beyond simply providing insights into business operations and now can predict future outcomes. He explained that AI should allow users to think about software as little as possible, allowing them to simply tell the system what they want to achieve and let it figure out how to accomplish the task.

The new applications are intuitive and operate across sectors such as supply chain forecasting, restaurant operations, and healthcare, according to Sicilia. He added that the goal is to give people more time to be human, enabling them to think, create, solve problems, and care for one another.

Oracle stated that the Fusion Claw agentic apps can help organisations stay within governance controls. They are capable of reasoning, computing, adapting, and executing specialist-grade work, including deep research, computation, simulation, modelling, and continuous replanning.

The company provided an example of a shipping company using the application to achieve transport cost savings of $58,000 by having the AI system analyse all its data and identify solutions. Sicilia also cited a doctor who reported that his patients had not noticed the colour of his eyes before he introduced the agentic AI system, as he now had more time to converse with them.

$1 Billion Investment in Partner Ecosystem

Before the event, Oracle announced a $1 billion investment over four years to support its partner ecosystem and meet rising customer demand for AI-powered solutions and services. The investment aims to create more opportunities for partners to develop solutions and build specialised expertise, Oracle said.

It includes new benefits and incentives for partners, such as planned investments in training and certification, technical enablement, development, testing and demonstration environments, cloud migration funding, go-to-market collaboration, and commercialisation through Oracle Marketplace. Oracle’s partner ecosystem includes systems integrators, independent software sellers, cloud and managed service providers, value-added distributors, resellers, and advisory firms.

Middle East Sees Strong AI Adoption with Practical Focus

In the Middle East, Oracle senior director of AI and data strategy Hammad Hussain noted strong growth in AI adoption with good use cases across industries. Oracle operates two cloud regions in the UAE, in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, as well as two in Saudi Arabia, in Riyadh and Jeddah.

Hussain said Middle East clients are ambitious about AI, and their discussions have evolved from asking how to use AI to using it strategically. He gave an example of an airline client using AI to negotiate new locations, which speeds up revenue generation. According to a survey by Dataiku, 62 percent of UAE chief information officers report their companies have more than 50 AI agents, while 15 percent say they operate more than 500 agents.

Customers in the Middle East also use AI for conversational analytics, such as in the building sector to analyse data on delayed projects and receive recommendations to reduce costs. Hussain emphasised that the region has moved beyond using AI for AI’s sake; advanced users now focus on changing their business models and improving efficiency.
