Abu Dhabi Crown Prince embarks on official visit to Greece
By Abu Dhabi Desk

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, has embarked on an official visit to Greece aimed at further strengthening the growing ties between the two nations.
Arrival in Athens
He was greeted upon arrival at Athens International Airport by Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis, state news agency Wam reported in the early hours of Thursday.
The visit is at the invitation of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, with whom Sheikh Khaled is expected to hold significant talks during his stay.
Half a century of relations
The trip is particularly notable as the two allies celebrate 50 years since the formal establishment of diplomatic relations.
Over the decades, UAE-Greece relations have expanded significantly, based on a comprehensive strategic partnership that encompasses crucial sectors such as the economy, investment, energy and technology.
Strengthening cooperation
This year, President Sheikh Mohamed has engaged in a series of telephone calls with Mr Mitsotakis, further demonstrating the flourishing friendship between the countries.
In May, Sheikh Mohamed hosted Mr Mitsotakis in Abu Dhabi for high-level talks that focused on cooperation in the economic, investment, technology, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, sustainability, infrastructure and cultural sectors.
Sheikh Khaled is accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes Dr Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Managing Director and Group Chief Executive of Adnoc; Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Co-operation; Dr Thani Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade; and Mohamed Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment.
