By Abu Dhabi Desk

Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, toured two of Greece’s most prominent cultural institutions on Friday during his official visit to the country.
He viewed the extensive art collection at the National Gallery of Greece and also visited the National Archaeological Museum in Athens. At the gallery, officials briefed him on the creative works that reflect Greece’s rich history, heritage and the evolution of its art scene.
Cultural institutions with deep histories
The National Gallery – Alexandros Soutsos Museum, founded in 1900, houses more than 20,000 exhibits, including paintings, sculptures and prints from the post-Byzantine period to the modern era. The National Archaeological Museum, the largest of its kind in Greece, was established towards the end of the 19th century and contains a vast collection of antiquities.
High-level talks and investment
Sheikh Khaled held discussions on Thursday with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Prime Minister’s Office. The talks centred on strengthening collaboration in sectors including energy, infrastructure, health care, advanced technology and health care. Sheikh Khaled emphasised the UAE’s desire to deepen long-standing relations with Greece to support the aspirations of both nations.
During the visit, it was announced that the UAE will invest an additional €15 billion ($16.8 billion) in Greece as part of a joint initiative between the two countries.
