Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open returns for fifth edition in January 2027

The Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open is set to return for its fifth edition, scheduled from 30 January to 6 February 2027 at the International Tennis Centre in Zayed Sports City. Organised under the patronage of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the WTA 500 tournament has become a key event on the global tennis calendar, attracting over 60,000 visitors in 2026.

Tournament Format and Prize Money

The 2027 edition will feature 28 singles players and 16 doubles teams competing over eight days. A total prize fund of US$1.2 million is on offer, along with valuable WTA ranking points for participants.

Ticket Pricing and New Village Pass

Ticket prices for matches starting on 30 January will begin at Dhs10, while tickets for the finals start at Dhs178.50. A new feature for the 2027 tournament is the Village Pass, which grants access to the 15,000-square-metre Mubadala Village for fans of all ages and families. The village will offer live entertainment, tennis clinics, player Q&A sessions, food and beverage options, sponsor activations, children’s activities, and merchandise for both Village Pass and stadium ticket holders.

During the opening weekend on 30 and 31 January, the Village Pass will also include entry to all qualifying matches held on those days. Adult Village Passes will be available for Dhs10 per day, and children under the age of 12 can attend free of charge during the opening weekend.

Community and Social Impact

Homaid Al Shimmari, Deputy Group CEO of Mubadala Investment Company, said: “Beyond bringing the world’s best players to Abu Dhabi, the tournament serves as a platform to inspire young people, encourage greater participation in sport, and bring families and communities together. These shared experiences strengthen social bonds and help build a more connected community.”

The 2027 edition will be a ticketed event, requiring all attendees to hold a valid ticket for entry or participation in Mubadala Village activities.
