As temperatures drop across the emirate, several desert cafes are reopening for the cooler season, offering visitors a blend of dining, entertainment and outdoor activities. These establishments, located in various desert settings around Dubai, provide experiences that go beyond the typical café visit, with options such as camel rides, dune buggies, archery and live shows.
Cafes in the Al Marmoom Area
Hidden Cafe is situated in Al Marmoom, surrounded by large golden dunes that create a scenic backdrop for photography. The venue serves food and beverages, and offers camel rides, dune buggies and occasional evening shows. Guests are allowed to bring their pets. Operating hours are Sunday to Thursday from 4pm to 1am, and Friday to Sunday from 4pm to 2am. Contact: @hidden_dubai on Instagram.
The Uncommon, described as a seasonal desert-bound café, is set to return this winter. It features all-mirrored exteriors that reflect the golden sun against the dunes. A Sharjah Desert Cafe
Not a Space is located in Sharjah’s Al Faya desert, approximately an hour’s drive from Dubai. The café features artsy corners, beanbags, picnic tables and plastic chairs spread across the sand.
