Abu Dhabi Turf Club launches Sunset at the Turf, a new Thursday‑evening racing experience

Abu Dhabi Turf Club has introduced a new Thursday‑evening offering called “Sunset at the Turf”, described as a sponsored addition to the capital’s after‑work scene.
The initiative invites those who usually meet for dinner, drinks or a catch‑up after work to try something different: live horse racing in the early evening with sunset views, a garden overlooking the track and a friendly competitive element.
Race Schedule and Admission
Launching on October 22, the series will run on selected Thursdays throughout the 2026‑2027 racing season. Each evening features seven races, beginning at 5 pm and repeating every half‑hour until 8 pm. The programme consists of five Purebred Arabian races and two Thoroughbred races.
Premier Admission grants entry to the garden that overlooks the track and finish line, where guests can meet friends, bring a plus‑one or join colleagues after work, pick a favourite horse and cheer it across the line. A complimentary game, Pick and Win, lets participants predict race winners for a chance to win prizes.
Context and Related Events
The series forms part of the Golden Jubilee season marking 50 years of equestrian heritage established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in 1976. The wider calendar also lists the UAE President Cup on 12 December 2026 and the Abu Dhabi Gold Cup on 7 February 2027.
