Shah Rukh Khan to launch UNIFYD music festival in Abu Dhabi with Arijit Singh, Karan Aujla and Sonu Nigam in March 2027
By Abu Dhabi Desk

Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan is bringing the new music and culture festival UNIFYD to Abu Dhabi, featuring three of India’s leading singers Arijit Singh, Karan Aujla and Sonu Nigam. The one‑day event will make its debut at Etihad Live on Yas Island on 20 March 2027.
Festival announcement and dates
The festival is described as a huge one‑day music celebration that will showcase Indian music and culture across multiple stages. Shah Rukh Khan, who has been active in film for 38 years, is the curator of UNIFYD and will be present in Abu Dhabi during the event. He founded the festival on the belief that Indian artists deserve a place on the world’s biggest stages.
Ticket sales details
General ticket sales open on the District app at 10:30 am on 20 October 2026. Holders of ENBD cards receive early access, with tickets available from 9:30 am on 19 October 2026 and remaining on sale for 24 hours until the following day. The ticketing window is intended to give fans ample opportunity to secure entry.
Artists and quotes
Arijit Singh, a two‑time National Film Award winner, will perform; he is known for the cross‑cultural track Sapphire with Ed Sheeran, who described Singh’s voice as “proper spellbound”, and for the collaboration Angels For Each Other with Martin Garrix. Karan Aujla, a global Punjabi music phenomenon, will bring hits such as Tauba Tauba and For A Reason to the stage. Sonu Nigam, another legendary singer, recently performed in Abu Dhabi in August and will return for UNIFYD; his repertoire includes Kal Ho Naa Ho, Bole Chudiyan and Shukran Allah. Around fifteen additional artists are expected to appear across the multiple stages.
Shah Rukh Khan said, “I’ve spent a lifetime telling stories on screen and watching them bring people together. Music has that same extraordinary power. UNIFYD, produced by D’YAVOL Live along with District, will unite India’s most incredible artists on a shared stage for the first time. The festival promises to be a true spectacle in terms of its scale, energy, and grandeur.”
Bunty Singh, co‑founder of D’YAVOL Live, added, “Indian music is already global. UNIFYD gives that cultural force a festival platform that matches its scale, ambition and influence. Bringing together artists of this stature on the same day, in a lineup that has never existed before, is what makes the first edition so special. The production, setting and overall experience have been built to match the scale of that moment.”
Expansion and further information
Plans for UNIFYD extend beyond Abu Dhabi, with an ambition to take the festival to other cities worldwide. Further details will be released in due course. Associated imagery is sourced from Getty Images and Arijit Singh’s Instagram account.
