Abu Dhabi Cafe Closed After Repeated Food Safety Violations

Closure Ordered

The cafe Let’s Talk Riz Corner Cafe in Abu Dhabi has had its licence suspended by the emirate’s food regulator after inspectors found repeated food safety violations that posed a risk to public health.

Authority’s Response

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority said it acted immediately to protect food safety and consumer health, noting that the outlet had not taken effective corrective action despite previous notices.

Conditions for Reopening

The authority added that the closure will remain in place until the cafe addresses all violations and receives formal approval to resume trading.

Broader Enforcement

The move is part of the authority’s ongoing effort to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s food safety system, which includes regular inspections of cafes, restaurants and food products to verify compliance with safety standards.

Public Advice

The authority urged residents to report any observed violations in cafes, restaurants or grocery stores, including suspected food contamination, by calling the Abu Dhabi Government’s toll‑free number 800555.
