Rain and high temperatures forecast for UAE as low-pressure system approaches
By Abu Dhabi Desk

Rain is expected to fall across parts of the UAE in the coming days, according to the latest forecast from the National Centre of Meteorology.
Rain forecast across the Emirates
The centre predicts wet weather in Al Ain from Tuesday through Thursday, while Fujairah should see rain on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Temperature outlook
The highest temperature this week is anticipated in Sweihan, where the mercury is expected to reach 42 °C each day until Friday.
In Abu Dhabi the forecast calls for a peak of 39 °C on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and Dubai is likely to see a maximum of 38 °C on the same days.
The National Centre of Meteorology also notes a probability of foggy conditions on Wednesday and Thursday mornings.
Causes of the wet weather
The rain, especially in eastern areas such as Al Ain, is being driven by a low-pressure system moving in from the south-east that carries moisture-laden air from the Arabian Sea.
When this system encounters the mountains along the UAE’s east coast, the air rises and meets a cooler layer above, which can trigger the formation of convective clouds and produce rain.
