Roxy Cinemas to Join 38 New Outlets Set for Ibn Battuta Mall
By Abu Dhabi Desk

Overview
The much‑loved Ibn Battuta Mall is set to be refreshed with a host of new retail and leisure experiences in 2027. It has been a while since Novo Cinemas closed its doors at the mall, but film fans can look forward to a brand‑new cinema experience next year as Roxy Cinemas prepares to open there.
Cinema & Entertainment
In total, 38 new and upcoming openings are part of the plan to further enhance Ibn Battuta Mall, with 21 businesses already welcoming customers and a further 17 scheduled to open by 2027.
The new Roxy Cinemas will screen the latest blockbusters from around the world, offering an elevated movie‑going experience that adds to the mall’s existing leisure line‑up. Although the exact screens that will comprise Roxy Cinemas Ibn Battuta have not been confirmed, the brand’s existing tiers include Bronze, Silver and Gold, as well as Roxy Platinum – the ultimate luxury cinema experience – and Roxy Xtreme, which features the biggest screen in the Middle East and North Africa.
Beyond the cinema, Ibn Battuta Mall will also introduce Hopa Loopa Entertainment next year, described as “a major new leisure attraction for families”, so we can’t wait to check that out.
Dining
In the coming months, new openings from Peet’s Coffee, Ocean Basket, Asia Kitchen and Smoothie Factory will join recent arrivals such as Five Guys and Caribou Coffee, providing quick pit‑stops between shopping trips.
Retail & Services
Aussie‑loved pharmacy Chemist Warehouse will open another new branch in Dubai at Ibn Battuta Mall, while fashion brands OWNDAYS and Puzzle Supplements are also slated to arrive soon.
New and upcoming businesses spanning banking, healthcare, education and professional services include ADCB, Amit Care, Doctor M, Melodica and Desco.
