Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2026: Full guide to tickets, fan zones, concert line-up and more

For those planning to attend the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2026, a comprehensive guide is now available covering ticket prices, fan zones, after-race concerts and essential tips for the race weekend. With numerous events taking place across Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE, keeping track of everything happening at the Yas Marina Circuit in December can be challenging. This guide will be updated regularly as new information emerges.

Event schedule and ticket options

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2026 will run from Thursday 3 December to Sunday 6 December. Practice sessions begin on Friday 4 December with Practice 1 at 13:30 and Practice 2 at 17:00. Saturday 5 December features Practice 3 at 14:30 and Qualifying at 18:00. The main race takes place on Sunday 6 December at 17:00. The Drivers’ Parade typically occurs two hours before the race on Sunday, though this is yet to be confirmed.

Tickets remain available across several categories. General admission starts at Dhs745 and provides access to the Oasis Areas with screens showing the race. Grandstand options include the Marina Grandstand four-day ticket from Dhs2,395, the North Straight Grandstand from Dhs2,400, and the South Grandstand from Dhs2,495. Premium tickets range from Dhs3,495 for the Terrace at West to Dhs5,995 for the 16/360 – The Terrace Collection. Premium hospitality packages start at Dhs7,995 for Marina Views and go up to Dhs13,995 for Deck at Two. All tickets can be purchased through the official Abu Dhabi Grand Prix website.

Fan zones, transport and what to bring

The Oasis Areas are five fan zones surrounding the Yas Marina Circuit, offering food vendors, souvenir shops, seating areas, art displays and stages with DJs and local performers. The zones are: Main Oasis beside the Main Grandstand, Abu Dhabi Hill Oasis within the general admission area, North Oasis near the North Grandstand, West Oasis beside the West Grandstand, and South & Marina Oasis near the South Grandstand and Marina sections.

Public transport is recommended for getting to the circuit. Those driving should carpool to reduce traffic. From Dubai, intercity buses from Al Ghubaiba or Ibn Battuta Bus Station go to Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station, where local buses connect to Yas Island. Visitors already in Abu Dhabi should check bus schedules in advance.

Items to bring include the ticket (ready on a phone), a fully charged phone, Emirates ID, credit card and some cash (though tap payments have been accepted), a battery pack, hat, sunscreen or UV jacket, lip balm, sunglasses, a small sanitiser bottle, an empty water bottle (filling stations have been available in previous years), a small towel or tissues, earplugs, and any necessary medication. Prohibited items include outside food and drink, firearms, weapons, flags, banners, umbrellas, musical instruments, chairs, stools, bicycles (including scooters), drones, fireworks and laser pointers. All items must fit in a small bag that can be placed under a grandstand seat.

Yasalam after-race concerts

The concert line-up begins on Wednesday 2 December with Andrea Bocelli as part of Yasalam Classics at Etihad Arena. This concert requires a separate ticket starting at Dhs295 and is not included with Grand Prix entry. The Italian tenor will be accompanied by the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra.

The Yasalam After-Race Concerts, held at Etihad Live, start on Thursday 3 December with Zara Larsson and Lewis Capaldi. Friday 4 December features Alex Warren, with one more artist yet to be announced. Saturday 5 December sees Imagine Dragons headlining. Sunday 6 December closes with The Chainsmokers and The Script, with The Chainsmokers making their Abu Dhabi debut and The Script performing in the capital for the first time. These concerts are only accessible to Grand Prix ticket holders; separate concert-only tickets are not available except for Andrea Bocelli.

Current Formula 1 season and reasons to attend

As of late October 2026, Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS leads the Drivers’ Championship and could become the youngest World Champion in Formula 1 history. Five other drivers remain mathematically in contention: George Russell (Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS), Lewis Hamilton (Scuderia Ferrari), Max Verstappen (Oracle Red Bull Racing), Charles Leclerc (Scuderia Ferrari) and Lando Norris (McLaren Mastercard F1 Team). Mercedes holds a strong lead in the Constructors’ Championship, which could be decided as early as the United States Grand Prix on 25 October.

Even if the championships are decided before the Abu Dhabi race, the event offers plenty of drama as drivers pursue personal goals and battle for final podium positions. It is also the last chance to see the drivers before the long break until the 2027 season opens with the Bahrain Grand Prix in March. Beyond the race, the Yasalam concerts and the electric atmosphere in the fan zones with activities, food and drink stalls provide ample reason to attend.
